We spent a day in Chernobyl with our families and friends

We continue the tradition of taking our family and beloved friends to the very special place which started this whole thing. In late November, we set a date, packed our friends & family and met in the city center of Ukraine’s capital to take them for a one very special adventure. To visit Chernobyl.

As we in ChernobylX are still growing, we decided to introduce our work more closely to the families of our new colleagues by guiding them trough the most popular places in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. Because a picture is worth 1000 words, right? Therefore, instead of infinite explanation to our grandmothers, fathers, brothers or sisters, friends, etc. why we’re doing such job and what’s so special about it, we settled into the bus and started the tour.

The tour was very friendly and started with a brief introduction to each other. During a two-hour drive to Chernobyl, we watched a film about the accident in Chernobyl nuclear power plant to our loved ones to soak up the atmosphere of the Chernobyl Zone. The day was in a relaxed atmosphere and our experienced guides told to their loved ones all facts, myths and interesting stories about Chernobyl, Pripyat, the Duga radar and the power plant itself. It was interesting to see the reactions of families and friends and to get to know their opinions and ideas about the tour itself. This pleasant day continued until late evening, when we jointly agreed that Chernobyl is a fascinating place which you definitely need to visit at least once in your life.
